Rough notes for my custom leather watch strap orders.

Clean Folder - This is what a good strap should look like,
This is what I got from ordering from a small Etsy store... very poor fold,
They were kind enough to offer a replacement on my next order, but then shut down suddenly. I also believe, the leather is Caiman, a poor quality of leather to avoid.
Quick Release
I'm very comfortable using a watch tool to change my straps. but since discovering the quick release mechanism, I am just not interested in living with out. Any store I'm buying from will have this as an option.
I've come to the same for toolessly adjustable metal bracelets too; even going so far as retrofitting my Rolex Oyster and Tudor BB58 with the EasyLink.
The above picture shows the Quick Release but if you can't visualize it, check out this Quick Release Demo Video.
Strap Length
Though you should wear what you liike, there are guidelines to proportionally size a watch to your wrist and from that also your strap length does matter.
For my my ideal length is 70mm x 115mm.
Right now my favourite straps are those that come with the Oris 36mm Big Crown Pointer Date. And my wife appreciates the Women's equivalent which has the more feminine tapering and slightly higher punch holes.
However, Oris has limited "quick release" options and none in the18mm lug width. So I just (Aug 2020) tried to order some Delugs Straps which I'm temporarily documenting here along with any other purchases.
