Note, linen backing is really for vintage one-side movie posters. The new modern posted are double-sided to be put into lightboxes. Myself, and the current hobbyist industry is still looking at how to best preserve and frame them.

Nails and Wall Reinforcement
Most Almost all of my other projects I've used the 3M Command Strips. However here, it did not work because the edges of the 3M strips would show... you can learn from my mistake (per the next section).

If you want to use below 3M Command Strips you have to consider measurements and placement of the D-Rings with the width of the 3M Command Strips. Make sure you framer sees it.
A good framer will also vie you another option using hooks... and trick (which I'll outline later) on how to use string/padding to do last minute adjustments.
3M Command Strips are the best thing since sliced bread to hanging art.

In my case, glass is quite heavy and I exceed the limit. That's fine for initial placement and then you can reinforce by drilling and follow-up with I considered two options,
3M Command Velcro Strips - Augment with strips across the top and bottom.
Screws - After initial placement, reinforce by drilling in wall anchors and screws (make sure to wear glasses) into the 3M plate which then embedds directly into the wall.If you want to only use 3M then consider using plastic instead of plexiglassplates. But keep in mind here, not to go very far from the maximum.... I've not tested the strength of the metal plates hooks.
